yesterday at work, Laura told me she wished I were graduating in December because there are going to be openings in Childrens Center and she thinks I could handle it and she loves me haha.
Laura works downstairs in CC, which is essentially the same program as the one I work in, but its a lot more intense and the kids are much more ill. They have atleast 2 crisis' a week where we have like 2 a month.
I love Laura, and her sarcasm. But I really don't think I'd enjoy childrens center haha.
Although, It was nice to hear her say it.
Then last night, Jamie and I sat out on the back deck and drank wine while smoking hookah. We also downloaded a dvd version of the dark night and fell asleep watching it haha. it was a nice relaxing night

this has certainly been a whirlwind of a week!
Tuesday I started my (first) senior year! haha. I met Danielle on campus in the morning because we were both an hour early for our 9:30 classes so we sat on the beach (my first time!) and talked and saw Lily Gordon which was really great as well.
I reluctantly, and unexpectedly, know someone in each of my classes! Jen Willan and Nina are in Social Psych, Alex Paradis is in Educational Psych, Teresa Johnson is in Helping Relationships, Meredith is in Motivation, and EB is in Coaching. I'm super stoked for this semester because I really like all of my classes and all of my professors.
I got to campus early today and went to get coffee and ran into Lily and Jess Blough so we all sat at a table conversing until class at 9:30. It's really awesome to see old friends again.
For lunch, I met up with Becca Epstein, who I hadn't seen since we left Israel! We had P-Tux which I also havent had since I was like a freshman. Only downside to ptux...its all fucking frat/sorority kids. I saw Sam (the ex) and Becky (the ex roomie), both into Greek Life.
Last, for dinner, I went to Famous Dave's with Courtney because we're both back in Reisterstown and quite friendless haha. It was awesome catching up with her and seeing that although we've grown, we haven't really changed at all. I love friends like that.
So now I'm going to be studious and attempt to read ahead a little for helping relationships and motivation.
AND! I GOT MY BRIDESMAID DRESS!
Steph had emailed me a dress that she really liked and I absolutely loved it, so I ordered it online and it came today and fits PERFECTLY. Its also a dress that I will wear a trillion times after the wedding, and i kind of wish i could wear it tomorrow night.

i was about to go to sleep, then decided that i seriously needed to update first haha.
this weekend was absolutely amazing.
After saturdays fun, sunday was even more awesome.
I started moving all of my pictures from my powerbook to my macbook and then i went to bertucci's to get lunch from Jenna. At 4:30 I went to the bowling alley to help set up and get our first show started! L&R was there and just stayed at the table with jac, julia, and i until they played. We were running a little late, but all the bands played realllly well and the show went pretty smoothly. Josh, Hessler, Julia, and I attempted to bowl...on 3 different lanes...and failed miserably. All in all, the show was fabulous and we had 134 people come, which was awesome for our first show.
After the show, Hannah, Lindsey, Hanna, and I all went to Margarets apartment for girls night. We bought 3 boxes of wine and took mass amounts of photos while lurking my old photobook album. It was a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to hanging out with those girls a lot more often.
And todayyyy...i laid out by the pool all day and got terribly sunburnt. AND! school starts tomorrow.
I am a senior in college. weird.

First, I'm upset with itunes because i had a thing for 2 free songs and it expires today and itunes told me they won't accept it because it expired already. bastards.
Okay, back to life.
Friday was an emotional crazy day.
I woke up early with all intentions of running errands and getting to work at 12:30 to write my 2 crisis forms. At 10:45 I got to the Book Exchange to pick up my check, but Phil hadn't done them yet. So I stuck around figuring we would get them soon and I could go to the bank. At 11:45, he hadn't finished yet...and of course didnt do mine first even though I had been waiting for an hour. So I just started helping customers. At 12 we ordered lunch and at 10 after, Phil gave us our checks. But of course mine was only for 1 week because he didnt see the other week! So I had to wait even LONGER for my second check. By 12:30 no one had left to pick up lunch so I just called and cancelled my order because I was frustrated and running late AND it was pouring so I had to give myself extra time to drive. I went to the bank to cash my checks and got to work at 1:15...without a lunch. Thankfully my co-workers are absolutely amazing and saw how frustrated I was and Brittany went to the Deli on campus and got me my usual sandwich and drink. God bless that girl. So I finished one crisis form just in time. Then we got the kids and did our thing. For our last group we all had the kids make cards for Lisa's (my supervisor) last day and we had the kids present them to her. It was so sad, she cried.
After work, Kristin and I sat and started the second crisis form and then we all left work at 7 and headed to Little Italy for dinner at Ciao Bella for Lisa's last day dinner. We had a huge room reserved for ourselves. I think there were 32 of us. We had the best dinner ever perfectly paired with some pricey bottles of wine, or vino! The owner, Mr. Tony Gambino himself, came over and talked to us for a while and kept saying how much he loved Johns Hopkins employees and how whenever we come back to just flash our Hopkins ID and we'll get the best of the best. What a fabulous man. I guess when you're bill is $1200.00 the owner HAS to love you. Lisa opened her presents, we all cried, and then we said our goodbyes and wished her well on her wedding and her new job in Virginia.
Yesterday I went to pick up Jac for lunch and Mags was there too. So Jacqueline, Margaret, and I went to Applebee's for lunch and made sure to keep Mags out of the house all day. After lunch we couldn't figure out what to do so we went to visit Julia at Starbucks who immediately had the idea for kaluah with our frappachinos. So Jac and I walked to the sketchiest liquor store I have ever been in in my entire life and bought some kaluah. Then Julia put her barista experience to work and made us some fabulous drinks. Then all of the Love & Reverie boys came in too because they're staying with Jac and Julia. So they hung out with us for a while before going to WalMart and Target to find slippers haha. Jac and I went next door to the book store and browsed for a while before going back to the apartment. Jac, Mags, and I watched What Happens In Vegas and then all the boys came home and watched it with us. So essentially, we sat on the couch drinking beers and watching movies from 4-11. It was fabulous. We watched What Happens In Vegas, Willy Wonka, and Jurassic Park. We did a mini power hour, Josh let me french braid his hair, we took pictures, and wrote things on Jac & Julia's fridge with magnet letters. All in all, it was a fabulous day.
Today I should probably go to the book exchange and make some money but i really dont feel like it. Tonight is also our first show at the bowling alley, so I'm really excited about that and a new venue and everything. Hopefully a lot of people come. Love & Reverie is playing, hence why they're in town, so it's bound to be a good time.

work sucked.
lots of kids were in crisis today.
i was at the book exchange today too.
which is always interesting.
best part of the day...
talking to jenna on the phone for an hour
because obviously we can go months without talking and then talk about everything under the sun for hours
and we both have no friends because all we do is work
haha

new blog --- considering i'm practically in the real world now
working at Johns Hopkins has given me some serious perspective about life
i am going somewhere. i am doing things. i have a big girl job!
school starts for the kids tomorrow, which means we'll have more crisis' than normal
Towson starts Tuesday, September 2nd.
and then i'll be back to the school 9-12, work 12-7 schedule.
and living home again to save some money.
today jac and i went to the book thing and then had lunch
we talked about life once we graduate and how some people aren't doing much of anything
which is okay for some, but i think i'd prefer to be working my JH job
speaking of jac, about 2 months ago jac, juls, and i were searching for a new venue
and i took them to the Pikesville AMF Bowling Alley
which is where the new Passed Out shows will be. i'm very excited for this new adventure.
come to the first show on sunday, august 30th.
okay, back to watching the Olympics closing ceremony
