First, I'm upset with itunes because i had a thing for 2 free songs and it expires today and itunes told me they won't accept it because it expired already. bastards.
Okay, back to life.
Friday was an emotional crazy day.
I woke up early with all intentions of running errands and getting to work at 12:30 to write my 2 crisis forms. At 10:45 I got to the Book Exchange to pick up my check, but Phil hadn't done them yet. So I stuck around figuring we would get them soon and I could go to the bank. At 11:45, he hadn't finished yet...and of course didnt do mine first even though I had been waiting for an hour. So I just started helping customers. At 12 we ordered lunch and at 10 after, Phil gave us our checks. But of course mine was only for 1 week because he didnt see the other week! So I had to wait even LONGER for my second check. By 12:30 no one had left to pick up lunch so I just called and cancelled my order because I was frustrated and running late AND it was pouring so I had to give myself extra time to drive. I went to the bank to cash my checks and got to work at 1:15...without a lunch. Thankfully my co-workers are absolutely amazing and saw how frustrated I was and Brittany went to the Deli on campus and got me my usual sandwich and drink. God bless that girl. So I finished one crisis form just in time. Then we got the kids and did our thing. For our last group we all had the kids make cards for Lisa's (my supervisor) last day and we had the kids present them to her. It was so sad, she cried.
After work, Kristin and I sat and started the second crisis form and then we all left work at 7 and headed to Little Italy for dinner at Ciao Bella for Lisa's last day dinner. We had a huge room reserved for ourselves. I think there were 32 of us. We had the best dinner ever perfectly paired with some pricey bottles of wine, or vino! The owner, Mr. Tony Gambino himself, came over and talked to us for a while and kept saying how much he loved Johns Hopkins employees and how whenever we come back to just flash our Hopkins ID and we'll get the best of the best. What a fabulous man. I guess when you're bill is $1200.00 the owner HAS to love you. Lisa opened her presents, we all cried, and then we said our goodbyes and wished her well on her wedding and her new job in Virginia.
Yesterday I went to pick up Jac for lunch and Mags was there too. So Jacqueline, Margaret, and I went to Applebee's for lunch and made sure to keep Mags out of the house all day. After lunch we couldn't figure out what to do so we went to visit Julia at Starbucks who immediately had the idea for kaluah with our frappachinos. So Jac and I walked to the sketchiest liquor store I have ever been in in my entire life and bought some kaluah. Then Julia put her barista experience to work and made us some fabulous drinks. Then all of the Love & Reverie boys came in too because they're staying with Jac and Julia. So they hung out with us for a while before going to WalMart and Target to find slippers haha. Jac and I went next door to the book store and browsed for a while before going back to the apartment. Jac, Mags, and I watched What Happens In Vegas and then all the boys came home and watched it with us. So essentially, we sat on the couch drinking beers and watching movies from 4-11. It was fabulous. We watched What Happens In Vegas, Willy Wonka, and Jurassic Park. We did a mini power hour, Josh let me french braid his hair, we took pictures, and wrote things on Jac & Julia's fridge with magnet letters. All in all, it was a fabulous day.
Today I should probably go to the book exchange and make some money but i really dont feel like it. Tonight is also our first show at the bowling alley, so I'm really excited about that and a new venue and everything. Hopefully a lot of people come. Love & Reverie is playing, hence why they're in town, so it's bound to be a good time.
